Ben C. Fetherston, Jr.
As a partner in the firm of Fetherston Edmonds, LLP attorney Ben Fetherston counsels large, mid-sized, and small businesses throughout Oregon and Washington in the areas of corporate, commercial, real estate and estate planning. Ben is rated AV Preeminent by Martindale Hubbell, indicating the highest level of professional excellence.
Ben combines a longstanding commitment to advancing the profession while serving the community. As a respected attorney, he has served on the Oregon State Bar Committee on Uniform Civil Jury Instructions, including a term as committee chair. He is a member and past president of the board of directors for the Mid-Willamette Valley Estate Planning Council. He was appointed by Oregon’s governor to serve on the state’s Task Force on Comprehensive Revenue Restructuring, and on the Oregon Advisory Committee on Government Productivity and Accountability.
He’s an active member of Associated Oregon Industries, Oregon’s largest and most influential business lobbying and public policy organization. Ben is AOI’s past chairman of the board, past chairman of AOI’s PAC, and currently serves as a trustee of the AOI HealthChoice trust. He also served as a member of AOI’s executive committee for many years.
Ben has been a member of the board of directors of the Mid-Willamette Valley Habitat for Humanity for more than six years, and has served as its President for the past two years. On Saturdays, he can often be found building homes for families and children in need. Ben and his wife, Sonia, have been married for more than 30 years. They have one daughter.
